How to Choose Guide

Use our simple step by step guide on how to choose the best solution for your binding & laminating needs

Choose the correct binding and laminating solution:

LAMINATION HOW TO CHOOSE

Step 1. What type of user are you?

a) Informal- you generally will be binding/ laminating internal documents for everyday use, infrequently and generally a small number of pages at a time.

b) Business- you are binding/ laminating both internal and external documents. You tend to laminate more often and a higher number of documents at a time.

c) Professional- you are generally binding/ laminating external documents or high value documents, frequently and in medium to high volumes.

Step 2. What or why are you binding/laminating?

The most frequently bound/ laminated items are used for signage, reference documents, filing documents, general everyday use, labelling and identifying items and for continuous banners.

GBC has a vast range of pouches specifically designed for the above applications amongst many others.

Step 3. What size do you want to laminate?

Pouches come from small credit card size all the way up to A2.

Or for banners choose our roll films

Step 4. Choose your Pouch Thickness for Lamination based on required handleability

The micron thickness of a pouch or roll film determines the rigidity of the laminated document.  For a more flexible finish choose 75micron or less and for a more rigid document choose 175mic or 250mic per pouch side.

You will now have the perfect solution for your lamination requirements!
